Extending a helping hand and being a force for social good

As our Muslim friends celebrate Hari Raya Haji, a festival that is about compassion, sharing wealth and remembering blessings, we would like to take the time to reflect on these values that transcend across all religions, and that can make this world a better place.

Running a business gives you an opportunity to make a change and impact on people’s lives, and we recognise this social responsibility. In short, social responsibility is the idea that businesses should balance profit-making activities with activities that benefit society, and develop businesses with a positive relationship to the society.

Social responsibility holds different meanings within industries and companies. Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's have incorporated social responsibility into the core of their companies, by purchasing Fair Trade Certified ingredients to manufacture their products and actively support sustainable farming in the regions where they source ingredients. Conversely, Target Corporation, has donated more than $875 million in grants to the communities in which their stores operate.

Corporate Social Responsibility

We’re no different, and social responsibility is something we strive to achieve at FIX8. Apart from providing customers with convenience on demand and the best home concierge services, FIX8 is also focused on building a business that is focused on being an agent of change and a force for social good.

Supporting local businesses and service providers as well as training technical professionals is at the heart of what we do. FIX8 acts as a bridge between consumers and these businesses, offering them an opportunity to provide value to consumers. This ensures continuity for these businesses, opening up a new segment of customers for them, and this allows them to utilise the benefits of today’s technology to secure new clients.

Ultimately, our aim is to develop and enhance relationships between customers, technical professionals and various service providers to create a vibrant and happy community within Singapore.

Nurturing a community and helping the people within that community often requires time and effort, but we believe that businesses and anyone who is willing to make the sacrifice will often reap the rewards they have sowed.

Now, imagine a world where all businesses strive to do good and give back to society. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
